A MUSHROOM FROM SPACE?
A MUSHROOM FROM SPACE?
In my next post I will offer a short story inspired by an actual event which took place on my property a few weeks ago.
On the far side of the lawn, I saw a large white round object which I took for a ball. It was close to twelve inches in diameter. On close inspection it turned out to be a mushroom that was dangerous even to touch. In my many years of living here I have never seen anything like it and have no idea of how its spores found their way into my yard.
The story which follows speculates on its origin.
