RANDOM IMAGES: THE COMING STORM
I’m presenting a new category, mainly because it doesn’t fit with anything thus far presented in this blog. If you enjoy it, let me know. If you hate it, let me know, my skin is thick.
Day draws down as the beach empties, time to relax for the evening. Once at your beach rental, you sit on the sheltered porch and recall the release of tension the day has provided. Beer, cocktails and sodas are offered to those tanned and burned friends sharing this vacation day.
With the evening meal done, you all return to the porch and appreciate the view. Costal grass along with elegant birds provide a picture-perfect image.
Looking to the south and west you note dark clouds closing in. Flashes build within their ominous presence and dull thunder signals an approaching storm.
The turbulence of life is echoed to you as the storm draws near.
POEMS & FLEETING THOUGHTS: THE CREATORS
Have you ever wondered
Of the giants,
The geniuses of the arts, the sciences?
How they suffered
Their daily lives?
The revelations and emotions,
The creations born
Yet the mundane thoughts
Crowding their existence,
Long gone
We put them on pedestals,
Gaze at their work in museums
Or read their efforts,
But remember,
Know they were human,
Lived day to day,
Dealt with life,
Some, their talent realized
Only once gone,
The gamble
Of being
Creative.
I try to appreciate every creative effort I read on the blogs I follow. To create something from nothing takes effort, whether grand or small.
OBSERVATIONS AND OPINIONS
THE INFINITY OF LIFE
To enter the structure of an organ is to enter a world of vasculature and cell types striving to fulfill a function to keep their host alive.
But to enter on of its cells is to enter the journey of the infinite, the soup of life ever at work. Processes occurring at lightning speed not all fully understood.
The end result can be life-giving or fatal.
Such is work of the cell.
Such is the thin thread of our life.
